We try out Kape-Coban Mayan Gold Guatemalan coffee hand carried to us by a client from Guatemala then discuss misinformation associated with wind power generation – sound and birds. We discuss details related to the importance of wind, solar and battery storage also referred to as Inverter-Based Resources (IBR) in managing grid control. The importance of engineering versus media and politicians in ensuring we have a reliable power supply especially with the large volume of data centers crowding our hunger for electricity. Then we also discuss the impact of energy prices as data center power and distribution requirements will be borne by everyone else (general public, commercial and industrial). This, of course, is only electricity and does not include water and other resources. Finally, we take a 35 minute tour of a wind site dodging invisible birds and even see a visible bird at minute 52.
