In this first video we kick off our upcoming project on using simple sound measurements to determine energy losses in equipment. This is a follow-up to our work on energy and emissions of vibration data compared to ESA and MCSA using the EMPATH (ESA) and EMPOWER (MCSA) tools. This comparison is of what we see in MCSA only and what it sounds like when converted from a current reading to sound and what happens if we use simple phone data. While this one will not be successful we will return to this topic as we go through the work necessary to review airborne and contact sound for energy losses and fault detection in electric machines and driven equipment. Enjoy!
