Podcast 53 EMPOWER MCSA on Two 4000 Volt Motors on Shop Test Pad at No Load

If an MCSA/ESA technology representative tells you that you need more than 50% load to test an electric motor then they don’t have the resolution you need to identify electrical and mechanical defects. In this presentation we will show the results with the EMPOWER MCSA system (with the same results in the EMPATH ESA system) on two 4000 horsepower electric machines at full voltage with no load on a motor repair shop test bed. Yet again, another demonstration. This included detecting bearing lubrication issues at no load and rotor conditions.
